PLASTIC BUDDHA is widely considered to be the most exciting Canadian design studio today. Launched in 1998, the studio focuses on designing objects that comment on our evolving culture. The work of Plastic Buddha has been likened to a velvet glove with brass knuckles, both brutal and elegant at the same time. This potent "form function grudge match" is evidenced in Plastic Buddha’s growing list of client work as well as their own UGLI and porno lines. Their work has been exhibited in museums, fine art galleries and living rooms throughout the world.
