MASSIMO GIACON, born in Padova in 1961, has been working as a comic strip maker, Illustrator, designer, artist and musician since early 1980. He has played a leading role in the great revival of Italian comics, originating from magazines such as Frigidaire, Alter, Cyborg, and Nova Express. In 1985, he began collaborating with the architectural studio Sottsass Associati, whereupon his career in design expanded to include collaborations with Matteo Thun, Studio Mendini, and Steiger Design, with additional projects for Memphis, Philips, Swatch, Alessi, Artemide, Ceramiche Bitossi, Rainbow and Moroso. In 1990, he ventured into the art gallery scene, and has had numerous personal exhibitions in Italy, Switzerland, America, Greece and Portugal. In 1994, he began doing graphic design for television network, CD-Rom projects, and web sites. After a musical career of about fifteen years, in 1996 he realized his first solo album, “Horror Vacui”.
