One of 20th century’s most prolific architects, EERO SAARINEN built some of the most iconic buildings of his time by age 50. Tragically he died two weeks after his 51st birthday shortly after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Born in Kirkkonummi, Finland on August 20, 1910, Eero Saarinen shared the same birthday as his father, famous Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen. Both his father and his mother, an accomplished sculptor and artist influenced and encouraged his artistic development.
